So here I am typing this while I'm at lost at what to write. I really don't have anything fancy to say about this photo or about the characters and the series they're from. I just like this photo a lot even without any editing that I want to share it with the rest of you. I love the colors captured by the camera and the angle and the expressions in it.
Neon Genesis Evangelion has always been one of my favorite animes of all time. I remember watching it when I was still in grade school and being attached to each of the characters.
Asuka and Rei. They're like ice and fire that I could never really decide which of two I like best. There was a time when I liked Rei more than Asuka, and then a time when I started liking Asuka more than Rei. Even now that I've recently re-watched this series, I still can't decide who. Maybe I just love them both equally...all of them even.
I bet it's not just me, but Evangelion changed my life. It made such an impact on me that it changed the way I see myself and the way I perceive things. So I hope that somehow this photo could express my love for the series and I am apologizing if ever our portrayals of the characters are not to your liking. I know how big the fandom Evangelion has, especially of these two girls, and even till now the otakudom scares me because even I myself is part of that and we all know how we sometimes hold these characters in such high pedestals.
Anyway~ I hope you somehow like this. This is my first time cosplaying a female character and I admit it was really challenging, even more so since I was asked to cosplay as Rei whom we all know is quite difficult to portray since her expressions are quite limited yet those little changes in her expression speaks a lot.
